DevOps Engineer

Lagos · Nigeria · Hybrid / remote · Full-time

Experience requirements for this role are set in the required qualifications below—some roles ask for more than three years (for example sales leadership). Compensation and benefits are discussed with shortlisted candidates only—we do not publish salary ranges on public postings.

Automate infrastructure, CI/CD, and release pipelines so squads ship safely— with guardrails, observability, and cost-aware cloud operations.

What you will do

  • Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines for multiple services and environments
  • Implement infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or Bicep) with reviewable changes
  • Standardize observability: centralized logging, metrics, tracing, and actionable dashboards
  • Partner with security on image scanning, secrets management, and least-privilege IAM
  • Support environment provisioning, drift detection, and disaster-recovery exercises
  • Optimize cloud spend through rightsizing, reservations, and tagging discipline
  • Document platform standards and train squads on self-service patterns

Required qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong scripting (Bash, Python, or similar) and Git-based workflows
  • Experience with containerization and Kubernetes or managed container services
  • Understanding of networking (VPC, DNS, TLS, load balancing) in cloud contexts
  • Exposure to policy-as-code or config validation for safer rollouts

Preferred qualifications

  • Certifications from cloud providers (associate level or higher)
  • Experience with GitOps (Argo CD, Flux) or progressive delivery
  • Windows/Linux hybrid estates or regulated-sector constraints
