SEO Specialist

Make every Starlight Labs product findable. Own technical, on-page, and content SEO across the portfolio so products earn durable organic traffic—the compounding channel behind go-to-market.

What you will do

• Own SEO strategy across multiple product sites: keyword research, search-intent mapping, and prioritized roadmaps
• Run technical SEO—crawlability, indexation, site speed/Core Web Vitals, structured data, sitemaps—and fix what blocks ranking
• Optimize on-page elements (titles, metas, headings, internal linking, schema) and brief writers with keyword-led plans
• Track rankings, organic traffic, and conversions; report what’s moving and why
• Run competitive and gap analysis to find winnable keywords and content opportunities across products
• Support off-page and authority work—digital PR angles, backlinks, and listings—where appropriate and ethical
• Partner with content and web/engineering to ship SEO fixes and new pages that rank
• Stay current with search-engine and AI-search changes; adapt tactics within white-hat guidelines

Required qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional SEO experience with demonstrable ranking and organic-traffic results
• Hands-on with core tools: Google Search Console, GA4, and at least one suite (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or Screaming Frog)
• Solid technical SEO: understands crawling/indexing, Core Web Vitals, and structured data, and can diagnose issues
• Strong on-page and content SEO skills; can write and review keyword-led briefs
• Comfortable reading basic HTML and collaborating with developers on fixes
• Analytical and organized; can prioritize by impact and report clearly
• Good written English

Preferred qualifications

• Experience doing SEO across multiple sites or a portfolio at once
• Familiarity with Next.js/React sites and the technical implementation of SEO
• Local (Nigeria/Africa) and/or international multi-region SEO experience
• Awareness of AI/answer-engine optimization (AEO) trends
