Lagos · Nigeria · Hybrid / remote · Full-time

Experience requirements for this role are set in the required qualifications below—some roles ask for more than three years (for example sales leadership). Compensation and benefits are discussed with shortlisted candidates only—we do not publish salary ranges on public postings.

Own Starlight Labs’ social presence across major platforms: strategy, content calendar, creative briefs, community engagement, and reporting—aligned with brand voice, compliance, and growth goals for a B2B technology and services company.

What you will do

  • Develop and run a cross-platform content strategy (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube Shorts, Facebook) tailored to each channel’s format and audience
  • Maintain an editorial calendar; coordinate with internal SMEs, design, and leadership for launches, events, and employer-brand moments
  • Produce or brief short-form video, carousels, copy, and hooks; ensure accessibility basics (captions, alt text where applicable)
  • Monitor comments, DMs, and mentions; escalate issues; uphold professional tone and crisis-communication playbooks
  • Track performance (reach, engagement, saves, clicks, follower quality); report weekly/monthly with actionable insights
  • Stay current on algorithm and format changes; test hooks, posting times, and creative variants within brand guidelines
  • Coordinate paid social campaigns with stakeholders when applicable (briefs, targeting notes, handoff to agencies or internal buyers)
  • Ensure rights, disclosures, and client confidentiality in all public posts; maintain a simple approval log for regulated or sensitive topics

Required qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in social media management, digital marketing, or communications for brands or agencies
  • Demonstrable portfolio or case summaries showing growth and engagement on at least two of: Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook/Meta, X
  • Hands-on experience with native platform tools and at least one scheduling/analytics suite (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Later, Hootsuite, Sprout, or equivalent)
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling in English; comfortable editing video scripts and on-screen captions for short-form
  • Working knowledge of creative tools (e.g. Canva, CapCut, or collaboration with designers in Figma)
  • Understanding of analytics: impressions, engagement rate, CTR, and how they map to pipeline and brand objectives
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple campaigns and stakeholders without dropping deadlines

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with B2B, technology, consulting, or professional services brands
  • Basic familiarity with employer branding and recruiting-focused content
  • Experience with influencer or creator coordination and UGC guidelines
  • Certifications or coursework in digital marketing, Meta Blueprint, or Google Analytics
